Zoomarine is once again offering Algarve residents a 50% discount on ticket prices.
The offer is valid until Sunday, April 9 and also includes half-price fares for the Dolphin Emotions experience.
The Guia-based theme park says it is a way of celebrating its “grand reopening” after the winter break.
Locals of any nationality can enjoy the discounts by presenting documentation at the ticket office to prove they live in the Algarve.
Each resident is also entitled to take a guest – who may not be a resident – but can also enjoy the offer.
Zoomarine reopened on Tuesday (March 28) with several new features.
2017’s novelties include “mega water attraction” Treasure Island, Aquasplash “water battle area” and a Zoomarine Express train.
Improvements were also carried out to the Zoomarine Beach area, while over 300 solar energy panels were installed on the top of the Oceanus building in order to make the park more environmentally-sustainable and save over 1,600 tons of CO2 emissions.
The main priority, needless to say, continues to be the “well-being” of the park’s animals.
Open since 1991, Zoomarine is one of the Algarve’s best-loved attractions, visited by thousands of holidaymakers every year.
The park has received numerous accolades, including several Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice awards as well as ‘Best Park/Company of Tourist Entertainment’ in Publiturs’ Portugal Trade Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
