Zest-Books for Life has launched the first guide to wine tourism in Portugal (Guia de Enoturismo em Portugal), by journalist and wine critic Maria João de Almeida.
As tourism is one of the most important activities in Portugal, and with the cluster of companies linked to winemaking and wine tourism being one of the great boosts for tourism here in the country, Zest decided to ask Maria João de Almeida to put together a printed guide in various languages – initially in Portuguese and English, and in French and Spanish by Spring 2015.
The most extensive guide of its kind, the publication lists places to visit, where to sleep and where to eat, according to the author’s careful selection.
“The fact that it is a printed guide with an appealing design, extensively illustrated and in a special edition hardback, make this book one of a kind,” said Nuno Seabra Lopes from the publishing company. The guide was immediately praised by wine expert João Paulo Martins, who said it was “useful and easy to handle”: “It’s a great collection of work. We had been missing a guide like this!”
