Two fabulous dining experiences fuse at Praia da Luz’s stunning beachfront destination
The family enterprise behind the popular Boaty’s Tapas Café has transformed the former Old Galley seafront site. In its place are two unique culinary experiences within one open-air beachfront destination. ZaZu Beach Club occupies the first floor and rooftop and delivers a spacious, welcoming family atmosphere within “the most beautiful spot in Praia da Luz”. Meanwhile, Boaty’s Tapas Café has taken up its new residence in the courtyard where, shaded by creeping vines as light streams off the ocean, guests can revel in its unique dining experience.
The concept is “pop-in,” coming straight from the beach in your flip-flops to savour some of the famous tapas downstairs or to go upstairs to ZaZu for a sushi roll, a Pad Thai or a fish of the day — accompanied by spectacular views. The ethos is: Everybody is welcome. The restaurant welcomes visitors from 12pm in Boaty’s Tapas Café with tapas served non-stop, whilst a mix of freshly prepared Asian dishes, fresh seafood, or burgers are served from 1pm in ZaZu Beach Club. Alternatively, visit the rooftop with its breathtaking views to savour the sunset with a drink, snacks, or a Pad Thai.
