Celtic manager Neil Lennon will decide today (Friday) whether he is going to spend £500,000 on signing Olhanense striker Edinho Junior (pictured).
The 18-year-old has attracted the attention of the Hoops boss after spending a week on trial at Celtic Park. After impressing last week, Lennon opted to give the frontman a second week training with the league leaders before making a decision on whether he is going to buy the youngster or not.
The Portuguese starlet is eager to move to Celtic Park with the belief his game is ideally suited to the British style of play.
“This is a big chance for me and I’m optimistic but I have to wait on Celtic’s decision,” he told the Scottish Daily Record. “My family and I are convinced I can play in the British game because it suits my style. This is the first big opportunity in my life and I want to take it.”
Olhanense have confirmed that a deal is on the cards with their striker impressing on trial with the Scottish outfit.
