SC Olhanense and Nigerian under-23 international Stanley Amuzie is excited over his call-up to the full international squad for back-to-back 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt later this month.
Amuzie moved to Olhanense on loan from Italian side Sampdoria during the winter transfer window and said: “It is a dream come true. I cannot believe it, in fact I’m short of words. Playing for the senior team has always been my goal and I’m grateful that coach Siasia has given me the chance.”
Nigeria, on four points, trail Egypt who lead Group G of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers with six points.
