Young man missing in Tavira

Quévin Andre Protseko has been missing since Sunday

Quévin Andre Protseko, a 21-year-old Portuguese man, has gone missing in Tavira.

Quévin, who lives in Santa Luzia, disappeared on Sunday. His family last spoke to him on Saturday, having realised the following day that he was no longer answering his phone.

Quévin is said to have recently completed his last exam of the year at the University of the Algarve and was due to travel to Romania on Sunday to attend his brother’s wedding.

Santa Luzia’s parish council has posted on its Facebook page that Quévin is 1.85cm tall, blonde, lean and has blue eyes.

His parents have been interviewed by TVI and said they did not notice any kind of strange behaviour before their son’s disappearance.

They also revealed that Quévin left his house only with his house keys and mobile phone, having left his wallet and personal documents at home.

GNR police have pinpointed the last location where signals from his mobile phone were detected, around 3km from his home, but so far the phone has not been found. TVI adds that finding the phone may help piece together what happened.

The Santa Luzia parish council adds that “if anyone knows his whereabouts or has seen him, please contact the authorities or family (910653295)”.
