A young man has been hospitalised after being stabbed in the chest on the street in Albufeira at around 2pm.
The victim is said to have sustained serious injuries and received medical assistance on the spot before being taken to Faro Hospital, a GNR police source told Lusa news agency.
The 17-year-old attacker has been arrested, the source added.
The motive behind the attack is unknown.
