A 20-year-old Portuguese man from Portimão was caught by GNR police trying to illegally sell pine cones in Rocha Brava, Carvoeiro last month.
A total of 70 kilos of pine cones were confiscated and handed over to the Nature and Forest Conservation Institute (ICNF).
Police were called after residents noticed a “suspicious vehicle” driving around the area.
