Suggesting that he will be running for a second term as Prime Minister, Pedro Passos Coelho said he had not been a good president for his party (PSD). “You can’t be good at everything,” he quipped, as he spoke to journalists and others at a hotel in Lisbon.
The statement garnered chuckles and even some applause, but it remains to be seen if Passos Coelho’s attempt at humour and self-effacement pays off.
Meantime, he has shown his hand regarding the upcoming elections in 2015.
