The expanse known as Parque Tejo, for World Youth Day celebrations, starting next week, is to remain a park after the mass event. Explain reports, the government will be investing in more trees, ‘new corridors’ and a link through the park to the railway station. For a former site taken up by storage containers, the plan is for the space to become a venue with restaurants/ a children’s play area, for city dwellers to ‘come and meet’ and enjoy. The space is to be called Parque Verde de Loures.
