RAIL PASSENGERS cannot contact many of the Algarve’s train stations by telephone because landline numbers are deactivated, despite being featured in telephone directories.
A spokesman for CP, the Portuguese rail network, said that information about the national train services in the Algarve is given by a call centre. “This call centre offers all of the information that passengers need, including departure and arrival times, ticket offices, delays and lost property,” he said.
For more information about the national train service, please telephone the call centre on 808 208 208 or visit the website, available in English, at www.cp.pt
