World’s worst products

Sleeping pills for children are among the world’s worst products, according to the global consumer group, Consumers International, who recently announced its 2007 world’s worst products.

A Japanese pharmaceutical firm who targeted children in the US for its sleeping pills came top of the list, followed by Coca-Cola, for its ‘Dasani’ bottled water, which is sourced from the same reservoirs as local tap water. Kellogg’s also received criticism for the worldwide use of cartoon characters and marketing aimed at children despite the high levels of salt and sugar in some foods.
