World’s smallest mother to  give birth for the third time

Despite continuous warnings she is risking her life, Stacey Herald, the world’s smallest mother, is about to give birth for the third time.

The 35-year-old mother of two stands at just 2 ft 4 inches and has defied doctors, who told her becoming pregnant could kill her.

Stacey from Kentucky, USA, suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes brittle bones and underdeveloped lungs, and means she failed to grow.

Stacey, who uses a wheelchair, and her husband Will, who is 5ft 9ins, are awaiting the birth of their third child, due in the next four weeks.

She cannot hold her daughter because her belly gets in the way, and has to rely on her husband Will to do most things around the house.
