Mundialito Color, billed as the most “colourful and fun” race in the world, will be held between Monte Gordo and Vila Real de Santo António on Saturday (August 8).
The event features a five-kilometre route, which begins at Monte Gordo beach in front of the casino at 7pm and ends at the VRSA riverside.
As the name suggests, colour plays an essential part, with coloured powder being sprayed onto runners as they start out as well as at the finishing line.
The race will be followed by musical entertainment and a foam party.
Tickets cost €10 for adults and €6 for children aged between five and 12 (the price includes gifts of a running bag, t-shirt and a personal 75 gm bag of coloured powder).
They can be purchased -online or at a stand located in front of Monte Gordo’s casino (from July 31).
