Jayne Jackson Beauty Centre in Boliqueime is holding a ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ event in aid of the UK’s Macmillan Cancer Support tomorrow (Saturday) from 11am to 1.30pm.
Started in 1990, The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event.
The charity asks people across the UK – and sometimes further afield – to hold a coffee morning, where donations on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2011, 51,000 people signed up to coffee mornings, raising a record £10 million sterling.
The beauty centre is asking attendees to support the cancer charity by donating a gift for the raffle, bringing along a cake (or cakes) to be sold at the coffee morning or by buying raffle tickets, which are available on the day.
