A series of outdoor activities to celebrate World Wetlands Day (February 2) will take place in Alvor.
Several local schools will be carrying out clean-up activities in the Ria de Alvor estuary throughout the coming days, while environmental association A Rocha will hold a walk along the estuary on Saturday (February 5).
The walk begins at 9am at the Mexilhoeira Grande train station, is free but limited to 20 people. The deadline to sign up is Friday.
