THE WORLD Press Photo exhibition features one of the most prestigious collection of photojournalism in the world. This year, it is making its national debut in Portimão today (July 7).
The winning photograph of last year’s awards, ‘Mother and Son in an Emergency Feeding Clinic’ taken by Finbarr O’Reilly, who will open the event, will be one of many winning images on display.
The winning works of the Prémio Visão/BES, the Portuguese equivalent of the World Press Photo, will also be on display, and both exhibitions will run until July 30. The exhibitions will then travel to Lisbon and other parts of the country.
