The success of Oceânico’s World Kids Golf Championship has been recognised by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and United States Golf Association, with competitors in this year’s field earning points that will count towards the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
This acknowledgment is testament to the giant strides the event has made in recent years in attracting young quality players from all over the world.
This year’s tournament, which will be held from July 25 to 29, once again includes competitors from as far afield as Thailand.
Everyone is welcome to go and watch the talented young golfers compete on the Faldo and O’Connor courses at Amendoeira near Silves. You may even know a young golfer who might like to enter?
Programme
July 25, tee times from 15.00-17.00 – Parent and Child Tournament at Amendoeira Par-3 Academy Course.
July 26, tee times from 08.00-12.00, tournament round one.
July 27, tee times from 08.00-12.00, tournament round two.
July 29, tee times from 08.00-12.00 – tournament final followed by prize giving in clubhouse at 19.00.
Format
The tournament will be gross stroke play for boys aged seven to 18 and girls aged eight to 18 years old. Prizes will be awarded for 1st through 5th place in each age category by gender.
