The world’s only female powerboat World Champion, Jackie Hunt from Hampshire in England, will be attending a press conference in Lisbon today, Friday 16.
Jackie will be at Nauticampo – a boating and camping exhibition – promoting Portimão, the host city for the final European round of the 2007 Powerboat P1 World Championship on September 29 and 30.
Over 100,000 people are expected to attend Nauticampo at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and, joining Jackie and her husband/racing navigator Mike Shelton will be Mayor of Portimão, Manuel da Luz; President of Portimão Marina, Eurico Correia; representative of the Portuguese Federation, Mario Gonzaga Ribeiro; ambassador for Powerboat P1 in Portugal, Carlos Sousa and chief executive officer of Powerboat P1, Nathan Knight.
Visitors to the Portimão stand at Nauticampo will be able to see action footage from the Powerboat P1 World Championship and find out more about the planned programme of entertainment on and off the water.
