The Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra is holding a series of workshops with Nordin Machado, Educator for Sustainable Development.
Nordin Machado has spent years studying about and living daily the concepts of sustainability, and he has a passion for education and sharing his knowledge about this subject.
“All the talks look at global as well as national and local efforts towards the goal of sustainability, and outline actions that we all as individuals can do to help towards this goal,” he said.
Subjects include Shifting the Global Economy Towards Sustainability (November 8), Food Security, Global Health and Local Initiatives (November 22) and Organic Agriculture – Alternative Ways of Production and Consumption (December 13).
The workshops will take place on Saturdays, from 3pm to 5pm.
Cost per person is €10, with 10% of the proceeds going to the Peta Birch Community Association, a charity that helps children and animals in the Algarve.
