Two workshops are being held in the Algarve next month to help women in business be better communicators, promote their talents and make new contacts.
The ‘Women & Success’ initiative is holding a workshop on ‘Communicating & Negotiating’ on April 2 at the Hilton Hotel Vilamoura from 10am to 1pm.
Participants will learn how to be assertive and formulate their goals “without pushing the other down or acting like victims”. “Whether you have to negotiate with your boss, client or partner, learning techniques to be a good negotiator is a powerful tool, both on a professional and personal level,” says life coach Ria van Doorn from Conscious Communication. The workshop is open to women and men. Cost is €20 per person.
Women & Success is an initiative of Ria van Doorn and Ivone Sousa. Together they organise seminars, workshops, network meetings and talks for professional women in Portugal.
Then on April 3, the Algarve Women’s Business Network (AWBN) is holding a networking event in English from 6pm to 8.30pm at Mundo Saudável in Almancil. Entrance fee is €10.
The AWBN is an open group created by Ria van Doorn and Cláudia Fonseca. Their aim is to help women make contacts and promote their talents and their businesses.
