URBAN RENOVATION works along Avenida de Tomás Cabreira and nearby areas between the Jupiter hotel and the fortress of Santa Catarina in Praia da Rocha have been delayed until after the summer season.
Portimão Câmara President, Manuel da Luz, said that the decision to delay the work until September was taken so that it would not interfere with peak tourist season.
The renovations, which are estimated to cost around two million euros, will include new road surfaces and sewerage systems.
