More than sixty women attended the latest monthly Central Algarve Ladies Luncheon Group meeting at the Chez Antoinne Restaurant in Vale do Lobo.
Organiser Gill Lindsay introduced guest speaker Chris Wright, who gave a humorous talk titled Queen in brawl at Palace – how football plays an important role in Portuguese life.
A raffle raised 280 euros, which was donated to the Madeira Disaster Appeal (Sponsored Shave) that Larry Bawden, Neil Richardson and Chris Wright are undertaking (read story on page 9).
The group will be holding a Cookery Demonstration in April when a former top chef at the London Savoy will be passing on some of his culinary knowledge.
One of the highlights of the year will be a Fashion Show in May.
