A 57-year-old woman was murdered in the early hours of this morning in Alcáçovas, Viana do Alentejo. Say reports, she had been trying to protect her elderly parents from intruders. Say reports, the men entered the house with their faces covered. It appears they killed the woman to stop her being able to identify them. Locals confirm break-ins in the area have become commonplace. The woman’s parents were transported to Hospital do Espírito Santo in Évora. PJ police are investigating.
