Wizz Air to start flying from London to Faro on July 2

Low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced that it will start flying from London’s Luton Airport to Faro in the Algarve and vice-versa on July 2.

The route is one of 14 new air links that were announced by the airline this week.

There will be four weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with flights continuing until the end of October.

Wizz Air had already announced in February that it would be launching a new route linking Faro and Vienna on July 21 with two weekly flights on Tuesday and Saturday. The Hungarian-owned airline has also recently resumed flights from London’s Luton Airport to Lisbon (click here).

“Although travel is currently restricted by government regulations, we are planning for the easing of restrictions as the situation improves and our customers are able to start travelling again,” said Wizz Air UK’s managing director Owain Jones.

“As always, our primary concern is the health, safety and well-being of our passengers and crew, and our enhanced protective measures will ensure the most sanitary conditions possible,” he added.
