Witless robber

A witless bank robber in Chicago, US, is facing a life sentence after leaving behind a trail of clues that led the police straight to him.

The suspect, 40-year-old Thomas Infante, walked into a local bank and handed a teller a note that read: “Be Quick Be Quit (quiet). Give your cash or I’ll shoot.”

The robber left after being handed 400 US dollars (286 euros) and mistakenly leaving half the note behind, which was written on his payslip, complete with his name and address.

Thomas Infante was also caught on CCTV cameras near the bank wearing a brown coat, which police found at his brother’s home.
