2013 has not been a good year so far for Eastern Algarve teams.
After their defeat at the hands of the Rangers in Week 1, the Terriers were taken to the cleaners at home by the Scorpions in Week 2, 74 shots to 36 and 8 points to Nil and in Week 3 by the Greens who beat them 57 shots to 44 and took 6 points to 2.
During the same period the Tigers, having rested in Week 1, were rained off in Week 2 and in Week 3 were beaten also at home by the Scorpions who once again took 8 points to Nil by winning 64 shots to 50.
The Scorpions have therefore scored a total of 22 points out of a possible 24 during this period.
As to the remainder of the games in Week 3, the Foresters achieved a second victory over the Rangers 83 shots to 31 and 8 points to Nil, whilst the Amigos reversed their earlier defeat by the Gladiators, winning this time by 60 shots to 33 and taking 6 points to 2.
The table is currently therefore the Cats, who were washed out in Week 2 and rested in Week 3, still top with 61 points; Foresters who closed the gap with 52 points and the Greens 47.
The Scorpions’ recent success lifts them up to fourth with 45, whilst the Amigos slip to fifth with 43. In the bottom half, we have the Terriers with 38, the Rangers with 28, Tigers with 27 and Gladiators with 19.
Points from those games not played in Week 2 will be added in as they are completed. Alan Reynolds
