Wine workshop and dinner at Casa Rei das Praias

Food and wine lovers are in for a treat on February 21 at Ferragudo’s Casa Rei das Praias Guesthouse, with the hosting of a special workshop with Dona Maria winemaker Júlio Bastos at 6pm, followed by a wine dinner at 7pm.
Starting the meal is a tuna ceviche, accompanied by some Dona Maria Viognier.
The main courses include Dover sole stuffed with shrimp and mashed potatoes, complemented by some Amantis Branco, and a rack of lamb with herb crust, accompanied by Dona Maria Reserva Tinto.
To finish, dessert is a crème brûlée with sorbet.
The Dona Maria wines are produced at an estate of the same name in Estremoz, north Alentejo.
The evening will cost €39 per person, and for those interested in spending the night as well, the guesthouse is charging €160 for a two-person meal and sleepover.
Reservations are recommended as capacity is limited.
