Al Quimia restaurant at Albufeira’s EPIC SANA Algarve hotel has announced the return of its ‘Wine Talks’ initiative, which aims to give food and wine lovers a chance to enjoy delicious meals and wines while also talking and learning more about the wines from the producers themselves.
António Saraiva, who leads the association of Port wine companies and is the president of the Champagne Vranken administration board, was invited by Al Quimia’s head chef Luís Mourão to be the co-host of the next event, this Friday, November 16 at 7pm.
The wine-pairing dinner will see mouthwatering dishes being served alongside some of the best wines from the Vranken Pommery Monopole and Porto Rozès wine cellars.
“The crown jewel will be the Diamant Bleu Millésime 99, 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, which is available exclusively in small parts of the world and is recognised for its complexity and elegance in its taste,” says the hotel.
“Since the opening of EPIC Sana Algarve, we have been holding wine-pairing dinners hosted by some of the biggest names of the wine world. Each dinner is led by a wine producer for a gastronomic experience with unlikely pairings. There is a lot of interaction between producers and diners, and that is why this initiative was named Wine Talks,” explains Luís Mourão.
Price is €150 per person.
