The Lagoa Wine Show is back on the streets of Lagoa from June 7 to 10 with outstanding wines, plenty of music, entertainment and gastronomy.
The Lagoa Wine Show is taking over the heart of Lagoa and the rua Coronel Figueiredo between June 7 to 10, turning the town once again into the wine capital of the Algarve region.
The annual wine event is back for yet another edition with four incredible evenings filled with special wine tastings, great national music, street entertainment and delicious traditional Algarve cuisine.
The musical entertainment will feature some of the biggest names in Portuguese contemporary music, fado and African vibes, including headlining acts such as Ricardo Ribeiro (June 7) and Gisela João (June 9).
There will also be enthralling beats with Lura (June 10), with compositions based on traditional Cape-Verdean music such as Morna, Funaná and Batuque, and influenced by African and contemporary Western music.
The Fado evenings will include the unmistakable voice of Pedro Moutinho (June 8) with Fado à Janela and many other talented local artists such as Míriam Cantero and Luís Manhita.
The Lagoa Wine Show is already considered one of the most emblematic wine events in the Algarve region, where, together with great musical acts, the most renowned producers from various wine regions across the country are presented.
Of course, there will be particular emphasis on the wines from the Algarve region. The annual wine event is a great opportunity to celebrate the Algarve as it increasingly gains notoriety as a wine-producing region thanks to the numerous well-deserved distinctions many of its wines have obtained in prestigious national and international competitions.
In addition to the extensive musical line-up, the programme will include a great variety of wine tastings, several gastronomic exhibitions and show-cooking demonstrations during which renowned Portuguese chefs will prepare delicious dishes with locally sourced products.
The Lagoa Wine Show takes place every evening between June 7 and 10, from 19:00 to 24:00 and is free of entry for all wine and music lovers.
