LISBON WILL have between 15 and 20 wind turbines erected in different parts of the city as part of the Lisbon Wind Parade Project 2008, in an effort to make residents more aware of the need to adopt environmentally friendly energy sources.
This initiative will culminate in a celebration on June 15 to celebrate Wind Day, which will “raise public awareness about electricity made from renewable energy sources” said Phillipe Dewerbe, spokesman for the project.
The spokesman also said that solutions currently present in the market vary between solar panels, wind turbines and biomass stations.
