Start the summer season in style with a memorable Opera Night, celebrating the drama, passion and magic of opera on July 11.
Vale do Lobo will be introducing the talented musicians and performers of the Ideias do Levante cultural association during the Opera Night performance named “Love and Seduction”, featuring a selection of arias, duets and trio performances, and highlighting some of the very best that opera has to offer audiences during a concert held in the resort’s auditorium from 8.30pm.
The Opera Night will see Ideias do Levante bringing soprano Carla Pontes, bass baritone Francisco Brazão and the pianist Cristiana Silva to the stage for an unforgettable concert featuring performances of works by Giovanni Pergolesi followed by pieces of Giuseppe Verdi, Gaetano Donizetti, Ambroise Thomas, Charles Gounod and Jacques Offenbach.
Opera Night is a new addition to the programme of events being held in Vale do Lobo throughout 2015, with the concert designed to appeal to opera aficionados and those new to the genre equally.
Entrance to the concert costs €18 for members of the public.
