al Portuguese sound of Fado as reimagined by the Al-Mouraria group and featuring performances on the Portuguese guitar, classical guitar, double bass and accordion while accompanied by superb female voices during the show which is sure to equally delight Fado aficionados and those new to the style.
Amália Rodrigues has been a constant source of inspiration for a generation of musicians over her 50-year recording career, and she was instrumental to the success of modern Fado performers including Argentina Freire, Filipa Sousa and Inês Gonçalves.
During the Amália Forever concert, the diva of Fado will be celebrated with performances of some of her best loved works including renditions of “Povo que Lavas no Rio”, “Por Vontade de Deus”, “Maria Lisboa” and “Casa da Mariquinhas”.
Entrance to the concert costs €15 for members of the public. Ticket-holders receive a 10% discount at any Vale do Lobo restaurant (on the day and cash payments only).
Bar service begins at the auditorium half-an-hour before the performance.
