Wilde opera

“The Happy Prince”, an opera by Gita Nasta and performed by the recently formed group Lagoa Light Opera, is taking place on May 28 at the Bemposta School Auditorium in Portimão at 5pm. The event is organised by Ideias do Levante, Lagoa’s cultural association. Faithfully following Oscar Wilde’s touching fairytale, the opera tells the story of a golden statue of a prince who stands high above his city observing the misery and suffering of the poor.
