COWBOYS and cowgirls were everywhere at the Carlucci American International School of Lisbon in Linhó recently. Parents and teachers organised a Wild West extravaganza at the school with lots of food, and square and line dancing to get everyone into the spirit. There was horse riding for anyone who fancied a quick canter on a real horse, games for the younger ‘hombres’, and country and western music to get the guys and gals into the mood. The evening was rounded off with karaoke singing, followed by prize-giving. There were some tired young cattle herding cowboys and cowgirls leaving the ranch that night to head off into the distance.
