The maritime police and border control authority (SEF) carried out an inspection last week on motor caravans ‘wildly’ parked overnight for sustained periods near the beaches of Boca do Rio, Barranco and Cordoama in Vila do Bispo.
Twenty-four individuals, foreign and Portuguese, in a total of 19 motor caravans were questioned but no irregularities were detected. The campers were informed that it is illegal to camp overnight in those areas.
