In an age where information is at everyone’s fingertips, content matters more than ever before. In any industry, not just the travel and villa rental space, content plays a huge part in any marketing and communications strategy.

From blogs and articles to social media and email, how we speak to potential guests is ever-changing. Within travel, the more informative it is the better it will be received.

Tourists want to travel easily, so villa owners must clearly communicate with them at every step of the way. Additional content that adds value is a great added bonus. Of course, at SandyBlue, we put focus on our travel content and help our owner partners with all aspects of this.

Content should be a key focus across all marketing channels. In a travel and tourism report by Statista in 2023, some very notable statistics became apparent. The report showed that 74% of total revenue will be generated through online sales by 2027.

Furthermore, the report showed that 35% of respondents use Instagram to find new travel destinations; 69.8% of people use search engines for general web searches to plan their travel.

With so many online transactions predicted, and people relying on marketing channels for research, now is the time to really focus on content strategy. People clearly don’t just want to find the destination – they want guides, information and content that will really attract them to book.
