WHO study highlights “scary” lack of autonomy of Portugal’s teens

A new study by the World Health Organisation has shown what one psychologist has described as a “scary lack of autonomy” among Portugal’s teens. They are the most ‘stay-at-home’ youngsters in 40 countries, and the least likely to be with friends after 8pm. They are also the 13-15-year-olds “most dissatisfied with their lives”, and hate school, said the report which is being seen as an “alert” for education chiefs.
