Another successful White Night (“Branco Ao Jantar”) dinner was organised by the Rotary Clubs of Estoi Palace International and Olhão together with the Alliance Française Algarve. Around 180 people attended the event held at the Faro Catering College.
All attending dressed in white and brought their own food and table decorations. Guests were entertained during the evening by the São Brás Folkloric Group, fado singer Raquel Peters and ballroom dancing by Escola João de Deus in Faro.
From the entry donation, a total of €3,800 was raised for two charities: ACAPO, the association for the blind in Portugal, which is a non-profit organisation facilitating the integration of its members into the community, and Re-Food which supports the hungry by recovering food that would otherwise go to waste and distributing this excess directly to the people who need it.
