The fourth annual White Night (‘Branco Ao Jantar’) organised by the Rotary Clubs of Estoi Palace International and Olhão together with the Alliance Francaise Algarve was hailed a success, raising €4,000 for charity.
A total of 230 people attended the event held on Saturday, June 9, in the courtyard of a former 17th century convent that is now the Faro Catering College.
All in attendance dressed in white and brought their own food and table decorations. Ushi Kuhn from Rotary Club Almancil won the prize for the best decorated table.
Guests were entertained during the evening by talented young dancers from the Clube de Danças João de Deus performing Argentinian Tango. The DJ for the evening was Vernon Delauney and his “excellent music choices” soon had everyone dancing until late.
From the entry donation, a total of €4,000 was raised which will benefit the Faro Banco Alimentar (Food Bank) and the Associação Beleza dos Afetos which helps children and young adults affected by autism.
