A group of caravanners who regularly visit Silves, parking by the riverfront, is donating eight wheelchairs to the local Technical Aids Bank for the Disabled (BLAT), which supports the poorer in the municipality.
The donation will allow the BLAT to respond more efficiently to the numerous requests for orthopaedic aids, and thus improve the quality of life of residents who are suffering from reduced mobility, both temporarily and permanently, and cannot afford to hire/purchase the equipment.
