In March 2018, the Natural group welcomed their new executive chef, Elisio Bernardes. Elisio is not only a master of flavour but his food design would not be out of place in any Michelin-starred restaurant.
Elisio brings to the group 12 years of experience in international culinary from various acclaimed establishments. Passionate about nurturing young talent, he imparts his knowledge and skills to upcoming and aspiring chefs at several hospitality schools. “Eat well and healthy, use sustainable local produce where possible, buy natural organic products, use not only tried and tested techniques but also dare to be innovative,” Elisio says.
His Mediterranean cuisine training has been put to the test in places such as Budapest, Geneva, Florence, Oslo and Valladolid. Elisio introduced the Street Food concept to Portugal in 2012, and has also participated in many show-cooking events throughout Europe. He was also one of the top-six Porto regional chefs, at Chef Cook of the Year 2017.
Grazielly Siqueira, Parrilla Natural manager, says: “Our clients love our new Sunday Lunch menu and the new touches Elisio has brought to our normal menu. He’s an incredibly dedicated, hard-working individual and our team is stronger than ever.”
To enhance their pastry department, Michelin-trained Patricia Coelho and Bruno Leão, have also joined the team.
This winter, the group’s chefs will be available for private events, to cook for you and your friends at home, bringing the very best of the Natural Group to your door, turning your home into your own personal restaurant for the night. Call for menu choices and prices.
Parrilla Beach Club is the newest restaurant addition to the Natural Group. Sustainably built within the dunes of Ancão beach, it offers a sophisticated yet accessible beach-restaurant experience as well as breath-taking views of the ocean and Ria Formosa. The restaurant can be completely opened during the summer, while glass doors create a cosy atmosphere for cooler days. The rooftop terrace bar offers a lounge area, perfect for a drink whilst enjoying the best sunset in the area. Their dishes are based on fresh local produce, focusing mainly on fish and shellfish but also offering something for meat lovers.
