After several weeks of cold, wet weather, Portugal is finally in for some sun and warmth this weekend – particularly in the Algarve.
Clear blue skies will be the norm everywhere, while temperatures will range from between balmy 19ºC maximums in the Algarve and Lisbon to teeth-chattering -2ºC minimums in the north.
According to IPMA weather forecasters, Bragança, for example, can expect temperatures ranging between 15ºC in the sunshine and -2ºC after nightfall. The Algarve will be much better off, with temperatures unlikely to fall below 8ºC.
