Another weekend of hot and sunny weather is expected in mainland Portugal, most of which is under yellow alert due to high temperatures.
Saturday is expected to be a perfect beach day with clear blue skies and temperatures topping the 30ºC in the Algarve. The sea temperature will likely reach a “warm” 23ºC.
Maximum temperatures are also due to reach 35ºC and 34ºC in Lisbon and Porto and a scorching 38ºC in the Alentejo.
However, temperatures are set to plunge several degrees on Sunday when skies are also expected to be overcast.
