Portugal is expecting a wet weekend with temperatures set to drop 4ºC to 6ºC in some parts of the country, say meteorologists.
The miserable weather is hitting mainland Portugal today and will continue until at least Tuesday, Madalena Rodrigues of Portugal’s sea and atmosphere institute has told Lusa news agency, adding that maximum temperatures are set to plummet “4ºC to 6ºC” on Sunday, and minimums are also expected to drop “2ºC to 3ºC”.
This translates into maximums of 20ºC in the Algarve, 18ºC in Lisbon and 16ºC in Porto, with minimums dropping to 15ºC in the south and 14ºC in Portugal’s two largest cities.
