Be sure to keep your winter coats and rain jackets at hand as this weekend promises to be another rainy and cold one, with temperatures plunging so low that it could even snow in some parts of Portugal.
In fact, the districts of Guarda and Castelo Branco in the north are on yellow alert until noon on Saturday due to forecasts of snowfall which could close roads and cause damage to “structures and trees”.
Elsewhere, the Algarve is expecting rainfall on Saturday and temperatures ranging between 9ºC and 16ºC in Faro.
Minimum temperatures are expected to drop even lower on Sunday all throughout the country, plunging to 7ºC in Lisbon, 6ºC in Faro and Porto and as low as 0ºC in Bragança, although rainfall is expected to stop everywhere except along Portugal’s north-western coast.
