The Algarve is expecting a weekend of rainy weather which is certain to delight farmers and help stock up at least part of the region’s water reserves – although it may not be the best news for those who were hoping to enjoy the outdoors.
The rainy weather is expected in the Algarve tomorrow and should continue until Monday, when it is predicted to extend to the rest of the country.
Skies are expected to clear up again on Tuesday, but by next weekend the rainy weather is due to return, according to forecasts from the national sea and atmosphere institute (IPMA).
Maximum temperatures will range between 21ºC in Faro and Porto 23ºC in Lisbon on Saturday, with minimums dropping to 12ºC, 8ºC and 10ºC respectively.
IPMA expects this April will be less rainy and that the weather will be warmer than usual.
