The hot weather that has marked this summer will continue into the last weekend of August, with temperatures expected to remain in the high 30ºCs down south.
It will be hottest on Sunday (August 28), with maximums reaching 36ºC in the Alentejo, 34ºC in the Algarve, 28ºC in Lisbon and a much cooler 22ºC in Porto.
Down in the Algarve, beachgoers can continue to enjoy the region’s warm seawater, which has been the “warmest it has been in the last 35 years (click here).
Minimum temperatures in Portugal are set to plunge, however, especially up north where they are set to drop to as low as 12ºC.
