Holidaymakers and beachgoers will be glad to hear that August’s last weekend will bring over 30ºC temperatures to Portugal, though, some parts of the country are in for rain and thunder on Sunday, says Portugal’s sea and atmosphere institute (IPMA).
Saturday will be the hottest day maximum temperatures of 30ºC forecast for Faro, 37ºC for Évora, Lisbon 34ºC and 24ºC in Porto.
Skies may have some clouds, with weather slightly gloomier on Sunday, when rain and thunder are expected in the north.
The Algarve and Lisbon, however, are in for the best of the weather as holidaymakers flock to beaches for what in many cases may be their last taste of summer.
