After enjoying some truly summer-like weather, Portugal is expecting “cloudy skies, mild temperatures, strong winds and maybe some rainfall” for this weekend.
It will be especially windy in the Algarve, which has been placed under “yellow alert” by the sea and atmosphere institute (IPMA) due to 80km/h winds and large waves (as high as 4.5 metres).
Temperatures will be mostly mild, reaching 20ºC in Faro today and increasing gradually over the weekend.
Elsewhere, maximums will vary between 22ºC and 27ºC.
